high-quality research in vaccine epidemiology
The primary activity of EAVE is high-quality research in vaccine epidemiology, led by our multidisciplinary team of faculty. Four key research areas define our scope. These are: (1) epidemiological evaluation of vaccines, (2) vaccine uptake and hesitancy, (3) vaccine-preventable disease dynamics, and (4) vaccine strategy evaluation. Faculty, staff, and students are actively engaged in projects in the United States and globally, working with a wide range of partners. Our research encompasses established and new vaccines: Rotavirus, HPV, Influenza, COVID-19, Polio, Smallpox, Dengue and Pneumococcal, as well as vaccines still in development: RSV, Norovirus, Ebola, Chikungunya, Universal Flu, HIV, TB, Shigella, ETEC, Zika and Malaria.
